This rare early Victorian mahogany cabriole leg rocking chair dates back to about 1860 and is a worthwhile restoration project.
It is still in its original tapestry upholstery and has the distinctive and sought after fish-tail arms.
Its two minor problems are easily fixable – one is to re-dowel one of the rockers and the other to cramp up the top of the back (see photos)
